Are there any eligibility criteria on the value of the house and household income? Is household income assessed on the tenants or on the owners?
Yes, all information required from tenants would be submitted via their landlord. For a renter household, all tenants named on the lease would need to complete an agreement with their landlord declaring their eligibility and confirming their commitment to the terms and conditions within the agreement. This will include a statutory declaration by each tenant that they have made all reasonable inquiries with each other and that the combined household taxable income does not exceed $180,000 per year. The landlord will then submit the agreement as part of his or her application to the Program.
